Acai Fruit

The acai fruit is a berry that is grown in the Amazon and has recently been all over the news in a variety of forms such as drinks, gels, and more. Many doctors and researchers are now proclaiming the acai fruit is a super food containing many antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins are body’s needs to stay healthy and promote overall wellness. A matter of fact, the acai fruit contains more antioxidants than a glass of red wine.

The acai fruit was seen to kill 86% of leukemia cells in a recent study of how the fruit would react when exposed to human cancer cells. The study was done in a lab and through the various tests; the results showed that from 35% to 86% of the cancer cells were killed. However, this test was performed in a lab on only cancer cells from a human body and not in the host body. Other factors inside the human body may deter the complete affect. On the other hand, the antioxidants may aid in preventing cancer cells from appearing in the first place.

Antioxidants are not the only great properties found in the acai fruit. Anthocyannis, omega 6, omega 9 fatty acids, fiber, calcium, amino acids, magnesium, iron, potassium, vitamins, B1, B2, B3, C, and E are also found in this berry.

The acai fruit is a dark purple berry around the same size of a blueberry at its peak ripeness. The only edible part of the acai fruit is a very small layer of pulp surrounding a large seed. The acai fruit is created from a palm tree that only grows in the floodplain areas of the Amazon River in Brazil. Many describe the taste of the acai fruit as an earthy chocolate berry instead of bad taste like so many other healthy foods that are out there on the market.

Long before the civilized nation found the acai fruit, many indigenous tribes used the berry for all kinds of ailments especially for treating digestive disorder and skin conditions. Today, Brazilians use the various drinks created from the acai fruit in place of milk, bread, and rice.

It has taken a while for the wonderful benefits of the acai fruit to hit the world, but now that it has, you can find the fruit in various products from juices such as Amazon Thunder and MonaVie to supplements in pill form. The best news is that there are products being made with this miraculous fruit that will benefit the world and promote overall health and wellness throughout the world. Only drinking one acai fruit drink per week can aid in concentration. Adding the acai fruit to your diet will promote not only good health, but will aid in the prevention of many diseases and ailments such as cancer, diabetes, and heart disease.

"Acai berries are among the most nutritious foods of the Amazon, rich in B vitamins, minerals, fiber, protein and omega-3 fatty acids. Acai berries also contain oleic acid (omega-9), a beneficial fatty acid (often mistakenly referred to as essential)."

"For those put off by juiced wheatgrass and bored with low-carb bars, there is Acai. Acai (ah-sigh-EE), the purplish fruit of the palmberry plant, purportedly contains more antioxidants than red wine, and has a beguiling berry-like flavor, with intensechocolate overtones."

"There's a miracle berry that can help you live longer and healthier, and chances are, you've never heard of it. It's called Acai, and it could help you ward off cancer, protect your heart, even prevent Alzheimer's disease, according to some research."
